"Photographing a moment helps me move on from it, but keep it for ever." - Olivia Bee
Welcome to Mandurah Photography Club
Our club, based in Mandurah, Western Australia, is for photographers that want to join us at our regular meetings. The club inaugurated in August 1972, and we have progressed from colour slides and prints from film negatives to digital imaging. Click the About button to find out more.
Our main activity is the monthly Assessment evening, where member's photographs, both digital and print, are critiqued by an external judge. Every image is assessed so we can learn to improve our photography.
We also provide regular workshops, led by external and member expert photographers, where members can develop and practice camera skills and computer-based image development. We will enjoy our outings around our beautiful state. The club is affiliated with the Western Australian Photographic Federation and share their resources. To see what's coming up, check out the Calendar by clicking its button above, or the About button to see the next 5 events.
Our members are enjoying considerable success in state and national competitions, but we are keen to help excite beginners and other members of the community to enjoy our passion. Members can also get unbiased advice on photographic equipment purchases.
Our members love a variety of genres: landscape, wildlife especially native flowers and birds, animals, macro, urban streetscape, portraiture, sports, and altered reality/creative.
COVID 19 continues to disrupt our plans. Our meeting room will not be available if there is any level of Lockdown. Social distancing may limit numbers at an event.
